Conducting meaningful conversations with stakeholders is vital to inform and validate the strategic direction of any institution. However, many traditional methods of gathering this input—such as surveys or town hall meetings—are flawed and can be misleading, often being disproportionately influenced by the loudest or most negative voices.

Attend this web seminar to learn about more effective ways to foster these meaningful conversations. We’ll be joined by a vice president from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, one of the largest polytechnic institutions in Canada. He will discuss how BCIT leadership launched an initiative to create engaging, productive discussion with staff members as part of a broad, ongoing strategic planning process, through a structured online method of gathering prioritized feedback.

Topics will include:
  • The importance of engaging in meaningful conversations with stakeholders
  • Ways of gaining a more accurate understanding of staff priorities
  • How to translate the results of these conversations into strategic plans
