The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was developed to encourage and enhance cardholder data security and facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures globally. Version 3.2 is being released now and includes a number of updates.

Despite the PCI DSS, however, information breaches continue to leave colleges and universities with unrecoverable damages as a result of undetected exposure within their compliance and prevention programs. These data security gaps leave the institution without a defensible position when confronted by auditors, regulators, litigators and insurance claims, and risk causing significant damage to an institution’s reputation.

Why do these data breaches and compromises continue? And why is it so difficult for higher education to be compliant with the PCI DSS? Is this a business issue or an IT issue?

Attend this web seminar to learn from an industry expert about the updates to the PCI DSS, why data breaches continue to occur on campuses and what you need to do to ensure compliance at your institution.
