Hello UBTech speakers. Here’s some information that will help you prepare for your presentation:

Managing your room
It is very important that all sessions begin and end on time. Please be respectful of speakers and activities that follow yours by ending exactly at the 40 minute mark and leaving your room promptly. (We suggest setting a silent phone timer for 35 minutes.) Also, session rooms will not have moderators; please begin your presentation by greeting the audience and introducing yourself. At the end of your session, please remind attendees to evaluate it on our mobile app.

Technology
Please bring your computer to your presentation and use it to display your slides. We will not have loaner computers. Before you come to the conference, please familiarize yourself with the steps for connecting your computer to a projector.

In each presentation room there will be:
  • A podium with microphone

  • A wireless mic (may be lapel mic or handheld)

  • A projector, with VGA & HDMI connectors. We’ll have some Mac adapters but we encourage you to bring your own. Projectors will be set for 16:9.

  • An audio connector for your computer’s headphone jack

  • Very strong WiFi for the room

Session evaluations
Attendees will evaluate your session on our conference app. The surveys will ask five questions:

  1. Was the speaker’s presentation in line with what you expected from the program description?

  2. Did the speaker hold your interest with an engaging, well-organized presentation?

  3. Did you get new information and ideas that you can apply to your work?

  4. Your overall rating of this session. (1-5, with 5 being best)

  5. Please provide additional comments about the session. (Open-response)
We will share the evaluations of your session with you after we finish the tabulations.

Facebook group
Did you know there’s a Facebook group for UBTech? We invite you to join the group and participate in the conversation, perhaps by posting a fun fact about yourself, your school or your presentation. Join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ubtech
