San
Antonio College, with an enrollment of 26,000 students, is the largest
single-campus community college in Texas and one of the largest in the
United States. Transitioning to new enrollment processes and responding
to hundreds of thousands of student inquiries during a hiring freeze,
the institution faced a dilemma. The college had to figure out how to
efficiently train staff, as well as serve its booming enrollment
without adding headcount.
Mona
Aldana-Ramírez, director of retention support services,
changed the game by creating an online, searchable video library of
topics for efficient mass communication to train student affairs staff.
Join Mona Aldana-Ramirez as she outlines practical applications of
using webcasting to improve success for students and staff professional
development, including:
- Creating
efficient processes for communication
- Enabling
trainers to deliver more training to more people with less time and
resources
- Learning
critical strategies for empowering staff via webcasts
