Prior to COVID-19, some prominent colleges and universities were beginning to implement smartphone-enabled mobile credentials on campus. This year’s pandemic environment has heightened interest in using this technology to not only replace keys or ID cards, but also to create a more contactless environment on campus.
The University of Oklahoma was one of the first universities to pilot a new mobile credential platform from Transact in 2018, and has been using it ever since.
