No more flunking! Raise your student's financial IQs.

A recent Inceptia survey revealed that on average, college freshmen earned a D grade in financial literacy. All too often, college students lack the confidence and knowledge to make sound financial decisions. There are also a few other factors that contribute greatly to this dilemma. To get to the heart of it, Inceptia studied college students' knowledge levels, attitudes and behaviors toward financial matters.

Unsurprisingly, the Inceptia National Financial Aptitude Analysis confirmed a low level of financial knowledge among first year college students, verifying that simple personal finance practices, such as following a budget and writing down financial goals, raised the levels of financial self-efficacy and instilled positive behavior. This stems from students believing they don't know enough to take control of their current finances. Ultimately, they crave guidance.

The survey also highlights the importance of offering financial education on campus. It not only empowers students to approach finances differently, but gives schools an edge in financial success. Our Online Financial Education is an interactive program with real-world applications that teach students the fundamentals of money management in an engaging environment. We also recognize the importance of fostering confidence not just in students, but in those who provide financial guidance.
