Learn how NAIT evolved a class scheduling
system to a campus communication system

The Problem
Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is a post-secondary education learning center with nine schools spread over three campuses.

As students, staff and visitors arrived at the various NAIT campuses during reduced staff hours, many of them would have difficulty finding their classes on time.

The Solution
NAIT saw an opportunity to establish a school wide digital signage communications system as a solution to providing its students with up-to-the minute class scheduling information.

The early results were well-received by both students and staff, so the digital signage network was kept in constant use thereafter, with an influx of new content. Carl Enright, former director of the NAIT continuing education program, says because of the popularity of the digital signage network, its original use has evolved into a full campus communications tool.
